Hi my name is Harper and I am a 3 year 2 month old Pit Bull Terrier / Pointer mix who is looking for my fur-ever family. I was rescued by a good Samaritan family when my original family left me along the side of the road in front of the Evergreen Cemetery in the Springfield area of Jacksonville, FL. I came back to that same spot right in front of the cemetery every day for a week waiting and hoping my original family would come back for me but they never did. I was rescued by my good Samaritan family who tried for two days to gain my trust and finally with a box of chicken lured me into their car. My guardian angel family took me home, gave me a bath and fed me as I was very thin when they took me in. My guardian angel family named me Harper as they thought I looked like a Harper to them.
My new guardian angel family had two other dogs (both rescues) of which one of their dogs was dog aggressive toward other dogs. I was kept separated from their two dogs but the family wanted better for me and gave Paws 4 Humanity Inc a call. I was surrendered into Paws 4 Humanity Inc and placed in my foster family where I am happy, now healthy as I have put on weight, loved and safe. I am now ready to find my fur-ever family.
I am crate trained, house trained and know some of my commands, sit, stay and come to my name. I know how to fetch, and am a very sweet, lovable and quiet girl as I don't do much talking. I enjoy being around children and my humans, and am good around other dogs. I do not do well with cats however as my prey drive kicks in and then I like to play chase me games with the cats. I love to play with my toys and Nylabones and Kongs are my favorites.
If you are looking for one sweet, smart and loving girl that gives great kisses as well as a great companion and family dog, I am your girl. What are you waiting for? Please pick up the phone and call Paws 4 Humanity Inc at 904 771-9516 or shoot them an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request an adoption application, which is the first step in the adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved you will then be able to meet the most yours truly where you can not help but want to take me home fur-ever! Love and kisses - Harper.
