If it weren't for his handsome graying muzzle, it would be tough for us to convince anyone that Keymo was an older guy! This happy-go-lucky Pit Bull mix is around 10 years old and was surrendered to Philadelphia's animal control shelter because his family could no longer afford to care for a dog. Because the shelter is always so full and Keymo is an older dog, he was placed on the short list for euthanasia. Luckily, a City of Elderly Love foster parent stepped up to save him in the nick of time!
Keymo is now happily living in his foster home, but is no the hunt for his true forever home! Keymo has the perfect level of energy. He loves to go for walks around the neighborhood, will romp around in the yard for a little while, but then is also happy to just snooze in the sun or lay around and chew on a bone! He loves being around his human friends and enjoys meeting new people! He'd be a great dog for both city life and life in the burbs. Despite being a senior dog by his age number, Keymo is in great shape and has great energy! All of his recent diagnostics came back great, though Keymo does have something called "Horner's Syndrome" which is nothing more than droopiness in his eyes due to lack of function in some of his facial nerves and muscles. It causes him no pain and can happen to any dog at any time, though its cause is unknown. Keymo is currently living with other dogs but can be picky in which dogs he likes to hang around with. He seems more comfortable with friendly female dogs. Unfortunately, Keymo is a little too interested in cats and shouldn't live with them. Consider adopting this handsome old man!
Keymo is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is also heartworm and lyme's disease negative. Interested in meeting him?
